Hours Mon–Fri 9–6 Pacific

Our headquarters are in Vancouver. For you in Montréal, our hours run from noon to 9 p.m., which often leaves the evening free for a call once your working day is over. Consultations happen in person or online by video call, as well as by phone, text and email.

What to include in your message

The more specific your message, the more useful our reply. You don't need to know everything; a few lines are enough. Here is the information that helps us most:

  1. What you sell, in one sentence, and to whom.
  2. Where your customers are: which boroughs, the west or east of the island, Laval, the South Shore.
  3. What concerns you: too few enquiries, an ageing website, a message that needs rethinking in French, growth that has stalled.
  4. What you've already tried, and what came of it.
  5. Your horizon: what you'd like to have changed in six months or a year.

A sample message to adapt:

Hello, I'm [First name] from [Business name]. We offer [service] to [type of customer], mainly in [borough or area]. We get about [number] enquiries a month and we want to [goal]. Could you call me back at [number] between [times]?

What happens next

The next steps are simple and carry no commitment.

  1. Reply. We get back to you, usually within one business day, to confirm we've understood and to set up the free initial 30-minute consultation.
  2. Consultation. We talk about your business, your numbers and your goals. We tell you frankly whether we can help, and how.
  3. Written proposal. If it makes sense for both sides, you receive a proposal in French setting out the scope, price, schedule, account ownership and end-of-engagement conditions.
  4. Decision. You take the time you need. Nothing further is required.

To prepare, you can look through our services and our pricing.

Before you write: what we do and don't do

We provide growth strategy, French-first marketing, local search and websites for businesses selling in Montréal. We don't give legal advice, including on the Charter of the French Language, and we don't do accounting or tax work.

If your question is about whether your signage or website complies, the OQLF and your lawyer are the right resources; our guide on the Charter and your marketing points you to the official pages to consult.

If you'd rather prepare for the conversation

You don't have to prepare anything, but a few numbers make the initial consultation much more useful. If you have them to hand, jot them down before the call:

  • your approximate sales over the last 12 months;
  • the number of enquiries you receive per month, even as an estimate;
  • the share of those enquiries that become customers;
  • your current marketing budget, if there is one.

With those four numbers, we can often tell you during the consultation where the most promising lever lies: more enquiries, better conversion, or customers who come back more often. Our guide to the 90-day growth plan explains how to calculate them. If you don't have them, that's fine: the conversation is there precisely to estimate them together.

A practical note on timing: because our hours run from noon to 9 p.m. Montréal time, many owners find it easiest to text a short question during the day and schedule the call for late afternoon, once the day's work is settled. Whatever you choose, the same person reads every message.

Your information

We use your contact details only to answer your enquiry and follow up on our conversation. We don't send promotional emails to people who haven't written to us first. To find out who we are before writing, read the About page.

Frequently asked questions

Which way of reaching you works well?

Whichever suits you. A text is handy for a short question, an email for describing your situation in detail, and a call for talking it through directly. All three reach the same person. A short text is plenty; we take it from there.

What are your hours?

Mon–Fri 9–6 Pacific, which is noon to 9 p.m. Montréal time. We usually reply within one business day.

Is the initial consultation paid?

No. The initial 30-minute consultation is free, with no obligation. It is there to understand your situation and see whether we can help.

Which language can I write to you in?

French or English. Our written materials are produced in French; the language of meetings is confirmed with you when you first get in touch.
